latest cake

Busy weekend making cakes for friends. At least with friends I can try new techniques and if I really mess up they usually don't care...much ;).
The Transformer cake was for Ashley's boy friend. It was watermelon flavor which is a favorite of the kids, but I don't care for much. It reminds me of a watermelon jolly rancher and just to sweet for me.

The second cake was for our Karate Sensei. Lloyd has been studying karate with him since the late 1980's. He is a super guy and has a great family. We like to try and do something special for him when ever we can. His birthday happens to be on Veteran's Day so it's always easy to remember. His cake was a pina-colada flavored cake. It was pretty yummy!
